Ifat Sade, Psy. D.
Dr. Ifat Sade is a New Jersey licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. She conducts psychological assessments and supports children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, emotional, behavioral, learning, and executive-functioning challenges. She believes change begins when clients feel seen, understood, and supported. Drawing on extensive school-based and clinical experience, she offers a warm, strengths-based approach tailored to each client. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and neuroscience-based psychoeducation, exploring connections among the brain, body, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Dr. Sade is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), a parent-based anxiety treatment. She works closely with parents to understand their children’s needs, strengthen support at home, advocate effectively, and navigate school-based services. Her goal is to help clients build coping skills, resilience, confidence, and positive change.
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is an evidence-based, parent-focused approach designed to help children and adolescents struggling with anxiety and OCD. Parents learn practical ways to respond supportively to their child’s anxiety while gradually reducing patterns that may unintentionally reinforce avoidance or fear. An important benefit of SPACE is that parents can participate even when their child is not ready or willing to attend therapy. The goal is to help parents feel more confident in supporting their child while encouraging greater independence, coping, and resilience.
